Terms of Service

Effective date: June 1, 2026 · Last updated: July 15, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Scootie mobile application and the electric-scooter sharing service (together, the "Service") operated in Nikiti, Sithonia, Halkidiki, Greece. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Operator: Scootie, AFM (VAT) 147540570, Ormylia 63088, Halkidiki, Greece. Contact: info@scootie.boo.

The scooters are Light Personal Electric Vehicles (ΕΠΗΟ / LPEV) within the meaning of Greek Law 4784/2020 and the Greek Road Traffic Code (KOK). These Terms are written to reflect those rules. The in-app summary you accept at sign-up is a short form of this document; this document is the full and binding agreement.

9. Liability & Insurance

10. Traffic Violations & Fines

You are responsible for all road-traffic violations committed during your ride. You agree to indemnify Scootie against any fines, penalties, costs, or third-party claims arising from your use of the Service.

11. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or close your account, with notice where reasonably possible, for reasons including: providing false registration data; payment default or chargeback; serious or repeated breach of these Terms; riding under the influence; carrying a passenger; tampering with a scooter; fraud; or a lost/stolen device or account. You may close your account at any time in the app, subject to settling any outstanding balance.

12. Data Protection

We process your personal data — including location and ride data — in accordance with our Privacy Policy, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Greek Law 4624/2019. Your location is collected during rides for safety, billing, and parking-enforcement purposes.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by Greek law. You may raise a consumer dispute with the Greek Consumer Ombudsman (Συνήγορος του Καταναλωτή, synigoroskatanaloti.gr) or through the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). The competent courts of Polygyros / Thessaloniki (for the Sithonia area) have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under Greek law.
